The service at a glance

A transport plan your travel coordinator can manage.

Corporate cross-border transportation is for companies coordinating more than one traveller or journey between Ontario and Michigan. Its value is a clear itinerary, named trip contacts and agreed changes—not an assumption that all employees, dates or billing terms are automatically covered.

Business continuity

A plan for the people travelling.

A visiting executive, a shift team and an arriving colleague have different needs. Include those differences before requesting a vehicle.

Recurring cross-border journeys

Share expected travel dates and the number of people on each trip. Recurrence helps define the request, but each schedule and any changes still need confirmation.

Executive and airport arrivals

Include the traveller's flight, destination entrance and an arrival contact. At DTW, flight tracking supports coordination; dispatch provides the confirmed terminal meeting instructions.

DTW arrival planning

Plant and supplier visits

Use the visitor entrance rather than a company's mailing address. Include check-in time, site contact and any additional stops so the itinerary reflects the working day.

Company coordination

Set expectations before travel.

A complete booking request gives your travel coordinator and dispatch the same working information.

Discuss billing requirements

Send the company name, billing contact and any purchase-order or invoice references you require. Dispatch must confirm available billing arrangements before they become part of the booking.

Keep itinerary changes visible

Identify who can update the journey, and communicate changes to passenger count, addresses or dates. A recurring itinerary should not be treated as automatically extended or amended.

Across the border

Build in the details that matter.

A professional itinerary includes the journey around the meeting, not just the meeting time.

Separate arrival from departure

Tell dispatch when travellers must be at reception, through visitor check-in or at their airline's check-in desk. Traffic and border processing need their own allowance.

Prepare the travellers

Each passenger remains responsible for the entry documents and permissions that apply to their visit. Corporate travel arrangements do not guarantee admission to either country.

Border planning guide

For this kind of journey

Make the company handoff unambiguous.

These details help avoid last-minute calls between reception, the traveller and the person booking.

Use a versioned travel brief

List the traveller, date, addresses, flight if applicable and internal reference for each leg. Send updated details when a meeting changes; do not rely on an old calendar invitation as the transport instruction.

Separate business permission from transport

The nature of a meeting or work activity can affect entry requirements. Employees should use the official visitor guidance or their company's immigration adviser; a chauffeur reservation does not determine eligibility.

Example: a visiting team with two arrival times

  • A coordinator requests separate DTW pickups for colleagues on different flights.
  • Each traveller receives their confirmed meeting instructions and Windsor office destination.
  • The coordinator requests the following day's return legs with each flight and any office stop recorded.

Illustrative itinerary, not a completed customer trip. Dispatch confirms the actual schedule, vehicle and availability.

Compare the whole journey

Match the arrangement to the working pattern.

A recurring transfer and a vehicle retained through the day solve different problems.

Recurring point-to-point trips

A known pattern of office, hotel or site transfers.

Confirm each date and passenger list; a template itinerary is not an open reservation.

Hourly / As Directed

A working day with several planned stops and time between them.

Discuss the geographic scope, duration and extensions rather than assuming unlimited use.

Separate airport arrivals

Colleagues arriving on different flights.

Compare separate pickups with a combined party itinerary before asking early arrivals to wait.

Vehicle fit & transparent estimates

The right vehicle.
The complete trip.

Your corporate cross-border transportation estimate is in U.S. dollars (USD). Compare the amount for your whole party, luggage and itinerary—not a single shared-shuttle seat or a different destination.

Estimates for named journeys.

One way, per vehicle—not per passenger. All amounts in USD.

These examples apply only to the journeys named below—not every trip covered by this service. Other origins, destinations, hourly work and ongoing contracts need a trip-specific estimate.

These are planning estimates, not guaranteed fares. Exact addresses, travel date, stops and availability can put your quote outside these ranges. Multiple SUV models are available; dispatch confirms the assigned vehicle. Each return leg and any different destination needs its own estimate.

Applicable cross-border fees, taxes, fuel surcharges and airport fees are included. Exact addresses, date, vehicle, stops and availability determine your trip-specific estimate. Confirm gratuity, child-seat charges and any changes outside the agreed itinerary with dispatch.

The request is free. Final fare confirmation usually takes 1–2 hours and can take up to 24 hours. An online estimate is not a confirmed reservation. For near-term travel, call to check availability; otherwise we recommend requesting at least 24 hours ahead.

Free request · No payment required

Include the stops and the return.

Add extra pickup or destination addresses using Add a stop. Tell dispatch how long each stop may take. Use the return-trip prompt later in the booking flow for the second leg; each date, address and pickup plan needs confirmation.

A return transfer and a vehicle staying with you are different arrangements. For several appointments, ask whether separate transfers or Hourly / As Directed better fits the itinerary. See how estimates and confirmation work →

Included pickup waiting time.

Scheduled address pickup
15 minutes free from the scheduled pickup time.
Domestic airport arrival
30 minutes free from the flight's landing time.
International airport arrival
60 minutes free from the flight's landing time.

We track arriving flights. Keep dispatch informed about delayed baggage or arrival formalities and confirm additional waiting charges beyond these allowances.

Changes, cancellations & flight disruption.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure for free cancellation and a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are non-refundable.

If your flight is cancelled, we offer free rescheduling. Contact dispatch with the replacement flight details to arrange your new pickup; a changed flight should not be left as an unreported no-show.

Normal crossing included. Traveller holds are different.

The normal border crossing is included. If a traveller-related issue causes a border hold, waiting is charged at USD $2.00 per minute until the traveller is released. This is different from the normal border queue or the airport pickup allowance.

Prepare the correct documents for each passenger and clarify any travel-status questions with the relevant authorities before departure. A transport reservation cannot guarantee entry or release time.

Before you book

A little planning. A clearer journey.

Practical answers for your trip. Dispatch can help with details specific to your schedule and party.

Ask dispatch a question
Can we request a recurring corporate schedule?

Yes. Provide the dates, passenger pattern and usual endpoints. Dispatch reviews availability and confirms the arrangement; later dates or itinerary changes should be confirmed rather than assumed.

Can our team request company invoices or billing references?

Include the billing contact and required references in your request. Available payment and invoice arrangements must be agreed with dispatch before travel; submitting a company name does not create a credit account.

How should we arrange several employees with different flights?

List each flight and traveller, luggage needs and destination. Dispatch can review whether the arrivals suit a shared party itinerary or require separate vehicles and pickups.

Is this different from a one-off business transfer?

This service is for company coordination and repeat travel requirements. For a single meeting, supplier visit or client journey, the business transportation page focuses on the individual itinerary.
