The service at a glance

Niagara is a region—not one pickup point.

A Niagara-to-Detroit transfer needs the actual Canadian town and address. Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, St. Catharines and other Niagara municipalities are different starting points. Specify Ontario, Canada, particularly when a hotel or map search also returns a similarly named place in New York.

The Niagara starting point

Confirm which side and which address.

Niagara Falls exists on both sides of the border. This page starts with the Canadian Niagara Region.

Niagara Falls hotels

Send the full Canadian hotel address and vehicle entrance. Share the luggage count and any checkout timing that affects when the party is ready.

St. Catharines and other Niagara addresses

Use the actual town and street address rather than a regional label. Additional pickups, a winery stop or another visit must be part of the original request.

Route review

The nearby crossing is not the whole route.

A Niagara departure does not automatically determine which border crossing is suitable for a Detroit journey.

Review the complete itinerary

Dispatch considers the departure address, Detroit endpoint and conditions when planning. Do not assume the journey uses a Niagara-area crossing simply because it begins in Niagara.

Prepare for U.S. entry

Every traveller needs the documents and permissions relevant to their own citizenship and status. Inspection, traffic and weather may affect the trip regardless of the selected route.

Cross-border preparation

The arrival matters

Plan beyond the city name.

A long-distance transfer should be built around the real deadline at the destination.

Detroit city arrivals

Give the meeting, hotel or appointment entrance and the time you must be there. Include visitor check-in or other arrival requirements.

DTW flights and return journeys

For an airport departure, supply the flight and terminal plus the airline's recommended arrival time. For a later return, request the separate pickup and disclose an uncertain finish before booking.

For this kind of journey

Two checks before leaving the Niagara hotel.

These details are more useful than a generic regional travel-time claim.

Resolve similar destination names

Use the Canadian hotel's street address and postal code. A Niagara Falls label without a country can point to the wrong side of the border, changing both the pickup and entry requirements.

Separate a stop from a second trip

If you need a winery visit, baggage collection or another hotel pickup, provide its duration and location. Dispatch needs the complete request to review a workable long-distance itinerary.

Example: Niagara Falls hotel to a Detroit family visit

  • Confirm the Ontario hotel entrance and when the party will be checked out with all luggage.
  • Include a St. Catharines collection only if that stop is part of the requested journey.
  • Use the Detroit family address as the endpoint and agree any later return separately.

Illustrative itinerary, not a completed customer trip. Dispatch confirms the actual schedule, vehicle and availability.

Compare the whole journey

Choose transport for the whole itinerary.

Tourist stops, Detroit arrival needs and luggage can change the appropriate service.

Compare the entire rental or parking arrangement, including cross-border permission if needed.

Estimates for named journeys.

One way, per vehicle—not per passenger. All amounts in USD.

These examples apply only to the journeys named below—not every trip covered by this service. Other origins, destinations, hourly work and ongoing contracts need a trip-specific estimate.

Niagara Falls, Ontario → downtown Detroit

Niagara Falls, Canada is the example origin—not Niagara Falls, New York or every Niagara Region community.

SUV

These are planning estimates, not guaranteed fares. Exact addresses, travel date, stops and availability can put your quote outside these ranges. Multiple SUV models are available; dispatch confirms the assigned vehicle. Each return leg and any different destination needs its own estimate.

Applicable cross-border fees, taxes, fuel surcharges and airport fees are included. Exact addresses, date, vehicle, stops and availability determine your trip-specific estimate. Confirm gratuity, child-seat charges and any changes outside the agreed itinerary with dispatch.

The request is free. Final fare confirmation usually takes 1–2 hours and can take up to 24 hours. An online estimate is not a confirmed reservation. For near-term travel, call to check availability; otherwise we recommend requesting at least 24 hours ahead.

Include the stops and the return.

Add extra pickup or destination addresses using Add a stop. Tell dispatch how long each stop may take. Use the return-trip prompt later in the booking flow for the second leg; each date, address and pickup plan needs confirmation.

A return transfer and a vehicle staying with you are different arrangements. For several appointments, ask whether separate transfers or Hourly / As Directed better fits the itinerary. See how estimates and confirmation work →

Included pickup waiting time.

Scheduled address pickup
15 minutes free from the scheduled pickup time.
Domestic airport arrival
30 minutes free from the flight's landing time.
International airport arrival
60 minutes free from the flight's landing time.

We track arriving flights. Keep dispatch informed about delayed baggage or arrival formalities and confirm additional waiting charges beyond these allowances.

Changes, cancellations & flight disruption.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure for free cancellation and a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are non-refundable.

If your flight is cancelled, we offer free rescheduling. Contact dispatch with the replacement flight details to arrange your new pickup; a changed flight should not be left as an unreported no-show.

Normal crossing included. Traveller holds are different.

The normal border crossing is included. If a traveller-related issue causes a border hold, waiting is charged at USD $2.00 per minute until the traveller is released. This is different from the normal border queue or the airport pickup allowance.

Prepare the correct documents for each passenger and clarify any travel-status questions with the relevant authorities before departure. A transport reservation cannot guarantee entry or release time.

Before you book

A little planning. A clearer journey.

Practical answers for your trip. Dispatch can help with details specific to your schedule and party.

Ask dispatch a question
Does this page cover Niagara Falls on the Canadian side?

Yes. It is for Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and other Canadian Niagara Region pickup addresses. If you mean Niagara Falls, New York, tell dispatch explicitly rather than using an ambiguous city name.

Will the vehicle cross the border near Niagara Falls?

Not automatically. Dispatch reviews the entire journey to Detroit, including the endpoints and conditions. The nearest border crossing is not necessarily the appropriate choice for the itinerary.

Can the trip finish at DTW rather than downtown Detroit?

Include Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the departing flight in your request. The terminal and airline deadlines are needed to review a flight-bound itinerary; a city arrival time is not an airport check-in plan.

Can we include a stop before leaving Niagara?

List the stop, its location and expected duration before the estimate is reviewed. Extra stops change the itinerary and may affect departure timing, availability and the final fare.
